Arizona Cardinals sign 3 more players to ‘futures’ deals for 2025

The Arizona Cardinals announced a few more additions to the 2025 offseason roster. They signed three players to “futures” deals for 2025, none of which who were on the team’s practice squad during the season.

They added cornerback Ekow Boye-Doe, linebacker Elliott Brown and offensive lineman McClendon Curtis.

Ekow Boye-Dowe

Boye-Doe is 6 feet tall and 177 pounds. He spent this past season on the practice squad of the New York Giants. He entered the league in 2023 with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted rookie out of Kansas State.  He played in six games in 2023 for the Chiefs and spent time on the practice squad. He played 15 defensive snaps and 84 on special teams.

Elliott Brown

Brown worked out with the Cardinals in December. Howard Balzer wrote this about him. It is his first NFL contract.

Brown, who played in college at Virginia, has not been in the NFL, but played the last two seasons as a defensive end with Edmonton of the CFL. He has also had a tryout with the Broncos. An arrangement between the CFL and NFL allows free-agents-to-be to have tryouts in December and January with NFL teams.

He is 6-4, 225, and would be a linebacker in the NFL. After playing eight games and totaling two sacks in 2023, Brown had a breakout season this year. He played all 18 games, had eight sacks and 44 tackles, and was named to West Division All-CFL team. Five of his sacks came in the final eight games of the season.

McClendon Curtis

Curtis is a 6-foot-6, 325-pound lineman who was an undrafted rookie in 2023. The Cardinals showed a lot of interest in him leading up to the draft. He was one of their top-30 prospect visits and had “exceptional” meetings with them at the Senior Bowl.

He signed after the draft originally with the Las Vegas Raiders and originally was on their practice squad but was signed by the Seattle Seahawks. In two seasons, he spent time on their practice squad and appeared in five games, all on special teams. He has size and length to play tackle but was projected to be a guard coming out of college. Many were surprised he went undrafted.
